I finished a 3 day pastel workshop with Albert Handell yesterday. What a wonderful treat to myself. It was fabulous to work with Albert and get all the useful tips and critiques for my work. He's a wonderful person and a fantastic pastelist. I think my work has already improved and will continue to improve based on his many pointers. One of my favorite things he said to me was "This is too wiggly"! I had to ask for an interpretation. "Watch out for the little worms" translation - too many little lines everywhere. Ha!
Many from the group went out to dinner one evening after the workshop and Albert told us a bit about his life. We had lots of great conversations and got to know each other a bit better. It was great fun.
Workshops are great fun and I recommend attending whenever you can - especially Albert's!
